To create this poem, Ana María Caballero sought inspiration in the fabled “greguerías” of Spanish avant-garde artist Ramón Gómez de la Serna, published by “Blanco y Negro (BYN)” nearly a century ago. These historic texts express moments of innocent wonder before the advent of modernity. Caballero created the visuals using artificial intelligence platform Stable Diffusion. Through AI, Caballero imagined Madrid at the beginning of the 20th century, seeking to create tension by inserting elements of surrealism, thus confronting us with both the opportunities and the anxieties generated by technology.
